Hi, I'm Jeannot. This is my personal blog where I write about the things I'm obsessed with.
I live in Mauritius, I think in three languages, and I have a habit of teaching myself things at unreasonable hours.
I'm the kind of person who will spend a Tuesday night deep in a Reaper session mixing a track, and a Wednesday night deep in a codebase wiring up an AI integration, and somehow both feel like the same activity to me. The process is identical: pull it apart, figure out how it works, make it do something it wasn't doing before, ship it.
Music
I make music under another name. Ten instrumental tracks, all composed, arranged, and mixed in my bedroom. The national press wrote about it.
I play guitar with a popular band, and I help organize the annual Underground Rock Festival here in Mauritius. The kind of grassroots thing where you're building the stage setup and the community at the same time.
I produce in Ableton, Reaper, and Cubase, depending on my mood and how much I feel like fighting the interface.
Content
I'm also the person behind a content presence of 60,000+ followers across platforms. A mix of tech commentary, political satire, AI-generated chaos, and comedy that probably only makes full sense if you grew up here. If you've come across a Mauritian meme with a slightly too-technical punchline, there's a reasonable chance that was me.
Tech
On the tech side, I'm obsessed with AI. Not the hype, the practical stuff. What it actually does when you plug it into a real workflow. I'm building content around that right now: short, no-fluff videos showing people how to use AI tools in ways that save actual time, not theoretical time.
I also tinker with IoT and home automation projects, because apparently I find relaxation in making my house smarter than it needs to be.
Everything else
I read franchise lore when I should be sleeping. I taught myself almost everything I know. I've been described in the press as an "introverti patente," and honestly, that's more accurate than anything I'd write about myself.
This blog is where the different versions of me collide. The one messing with LLMs at midnight, the one laying down guitar tracks at 2am, the one making fun of local politics at breakfast, and the one trying to figure out what all of it adds up to from a small island in the Indian Ocean.
